Candle Care Guide
-
Trim the Wick: Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch (0.6 cm). This helps prevent excessive smoking and ensures a clean, even burn.
-
Burn Time: For the initial burn, allow the candle to melt across the entire surface to prevent tunneling. Generally, burn candles for 1-4 hours at a time, depending on the candle's size. Avoid burning for more than 4 hours continuously.
-
Placement: Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets.
-
Extinguish Safely: Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame to extinguish the candle. This helps prevent hot wax from splattering.
-
Avoid Moving: Do not move the candle while it’s burning or if the wax is hot. Wait until the candle has cooled and solidified to prevent spills or accidents.
-
Refrain from Relighting Debris: Remove any wick trimmings, matches, or other debris from the wax pool before relighting the candle.
-
Storing Candles: Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve their scent and color.
-
Candle Safety: Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Do not leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from flammable objects.
-
Discontinue Use: Stop using the candle when there is approximately 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) of wax left at the bottom. Continued burning beyond this point can damage surfaces and the container itself.
-
Enjoy Responsibly: Enjoy the delightful ambiance and fragrance of your candles, but always prioritize safety and responsible usage.
